Simply Floatin started with a simple idea: importing a Japanese vehicle shouldn't feel impossible. What began with a love for Kei trucks and JDM culture is growing into a community built around unique vehicles, good people, and enjoying the journey.
It started with one little truck.
Simply Floatin didn't begin in a boardroom or dealership showroom.
It started with importing a Honda Acty from Japan.
Going through the process firsthand meant learning everything that comes with an international vehicle purchase — finding the vehicle, coordinating paperwork, arranging shipping, working through customs, dealing with the port, and finally getting the keys.
That experience showed how exciting importing a vehicle can be — but also how confusing it can feel when you're doing it for the first time.
Simply Floatin was created to make that experience easier for the next person.

Starting on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Simply Floatin is growing from Maryland's Eastern Shore, with access to the Port of Baltimore and a growing community of automotive enthusiasts throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Our roots may be local, but the vehicles we love come from halfway around the world.

I started Simply Floatin because I genuinely enjoy these vehicles and the culture around them.
After importing my own vehicle, I realized how much there was to learn — and how much easier the process could feel if someone was there to help explain it.
I'm building Simply Floatin slowly and intentionally, with the goal of creating something people trust and genuinely enjoy being part of.
